Kazuta cracks top-40 in Nationals debutPublished by
Point Grey TFC's Kerry Kazuta placed 34th in the Senior Men's race at the AGSI Canadian Cross Country Championships, held today in Guelph, Ontario. Kazuta was 5th for the BC Team, in his first appearance at the Canadian Championships and first BC Team selection. Now running post-collegiately, Kazuta formerly competed as a UBC Thunderbird, captaining the men's distance squad for two years. He qualified for the NAIA National Cross Country Championships twice, in his last two years at UBC, but this was undoubtedly his biggest competition to date. "I am happy with my race," he said afterwards. "I can't wait for the after-party," he added. Interestingly enough, 80% of voters on a poll on the Point Grey TFC webpage were correct, predicting he would finish in the top 40. More news |
